Solar Installer (Intern) at VGL Energy and Power Technology

About This Role

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Project Engineering Intern to join our team at VGL Energy and Power Technology. This role is ideal for NYSC corps members and other individuals with a strong interest in solar energy and renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development

• Assist in the design and development of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and mounting structures
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the best design solutions
• Prepare technical drawings and specifications using engineering software and tools

Technical Support

• Provide technical support to project teams during the installation and commissioning of solar energy systems
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to solar energy systems
• Prepare technical reports and documentation

Project Coordination

• Assist in the planning and coordination of solar energy projects
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders

Problem Solving and Analysis

• Analyze system performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability
• Address technical challenges and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Communication and Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
• Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

Field Operations

• Willingness to travel to various project sites and client locations as needed
