Shawarma/Burger Cook at FoodCourt

Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated Shawarma/Burger Cook to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and serving freshly made shawarma, burgers, and related fast foods. This role requires speed, accuracy, and consistency while maintaining high-quality standards, hygiene, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook shawarma, burgers, sandwiches, and other fast-food items according to recipes and company standards
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
• Maintain cleanliness of the cooking area, utensils, and equipment
• Monitor stock of ingredients, report shortages, and assist with restocking
• Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation to reduce waste
• Maintain compliance with all hygiene, health, and safety standards (HACCP/NAFDAC/local)
• Work efficiently during peak hours to deliver orders on time
• Support catering services and events as needed

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a cook specializing in shawarma and/or burgers
• Knowledge of fast-food recipes, marinades, sauces, and grilling techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic food hygiene and safety knowledge

Working Conditions

• Location: Unilag, Lagos
• Flexible work schedule (may include evenings, weekends, and event days)
• Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cooking equipment
