Senior Structural Design Engineer at Dover Engineering Limited

Job Purpose

To provide leadership and technical assurance within the Civil/Structural discipline group, overseeing the design, inspection, maintenance, and modification of civil structures. Ensure reliability and availability of structures at optimal whole lifecycle costs in alignment with company objectives and business plan.

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil and structural tasks and projects from inception to completion, providing technical guidance on civil infrastructure design, construction, modifications, and structural repairs
• Proactively coordinate with maintenance and project engineers to ensure all civil-related matters are addressed in compliance with service level agreements (SLAs)
• Support implementation of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodology for civil infrastructure assets (concrete and steel) to ensure effectiveness and optimization of assigned maintenance strategies
• Facilitate review of inspection findings for civil structures and ensure risk assessments are available as input to the Civil Integrity Status Report (CISR)
• Assess customer requirements and site feasibility; oversee review of final designs and provide inputs into structural designs to ensure conformity with company design criteria, specifications, constructability, and maintainability
• Assure all engineered scaffolding is designed and installed according to applicable company procedures, industry standards, and codes
• Perform structural analysis and design for asset integrity assessment and life extension, applying principles of structural reliability to define appropriate design rules for civil infrastructure
• Undertake frontend engineering studies to identify and develop performance improvement changes and project scope of work
