## Title: Senior Project Cost Controller

About the Role

We are recruiting a Senior Project Cost Controller to join our established organization. This role is responsible for controlling project costs through planning, developing, reporting, monitoring of milestone progress, and forecasting project budgets while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Project Control Manager (functional) & Project Manager (project-related)
  • Supervises: Junior Project Cost Controller, Project Administrator

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Planning Management

  • Ensure timely provision of accurate and complete financial and planning information to Project Managers
  • Control and monitor total project expenditure, including verification and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Initiate project invoices, collate supporting documentation, and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment
  • Maintain close interface with Accounts department and Project Management Team (PMT)

Risk Identification & Mitigation

  • Identify currency risks (exchange rate fluctuations) and establish suitable protective measures
  • Identify tax risks and establish appropriate mitigation strategies

Cost Control & Forecasting

  • Establish and control cost budgets and provide cost forecasting
  • Prepare cost cash flow forecasts per currency
  • Allocate invoices to appropriate project codes
  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete cost reports
  • Register outgoing payments

Vendor & Subcontractor Management

  • Verify costs with vendors and suppliers, estimate expenditures, and recommend cost-saving measures to the Project Manager
  • Review subcontractor invoices and supporting documents for accuracy
  • Follow up on subcontractor payments according to respective subcontract agreements

Documentation & Records Management

  • Ensure all supporting documentation for Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Milestones, Change Orders, and Variations are generated at the point of execution
  • Maintain comprehensive records for invoicing and future PMT reference
