About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to oversee a team of finance professionals. In this role, you will interpret financial data, help develop strategic financial goals for the company, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team of finance professionals
• Prepare daily and weekly receipts and sales reports
• Prepare weekly and monthly debtors' lists and schedules
• Act as a business partner with business leaders and functional stakeholders to drive financial performance
• Own, manage, and standardize key business and financial processes including working capital management, month-end closing, financial analysis, and forecasts
• Collect and post WHT credit notes and WHT receipts
• Conduct regular follow-up on outstanding WHT credit notes
• Collate data and prepare invoices
• Provide in-depth analysis to support decision-making
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and customer queries
• Create and maintain customer GL accounts on SAP
• Ensure up-to-date accounts receivable ledgers and journals
• Generate receivables waybills and reconcile weights, freight, and volumes of business transacted
• Prepare revenue analysis on services provided by the company

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting and Finance
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an AR/AP Accountant
• Vast knowledge of tax processes and tax compliance
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to provide timely and accurate data with strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional accounting certification (advantageous)
