Senior Electrical Engineer at First Excelsia

About the Role

Our client, an energy company, is seeking an experienced and highly competent Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of complex power projects. In this role, you will oversee project teams, ensure compliance with engineering standards, manage project timelines and budgets, and act as a technical advisor representing the client in professional settings, including client meetings, industry conferences, and regulatory engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the design of complex power systems, including renewable energy systems, grid integration, and power distribution networks
• Review and validate engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications for grid-connected and off-grid systems
• Ensure electrical designs comply with engineering regulatory standards
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, offering guidance and mentorship to junior staff
• Review team outputs, promote knowledge sharing, and enforce engineering best practices
• Foster a collaborative, safety-conscious project environment
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and cross-functional teams to align execution

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university
• COREN certification (mandatory)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex power projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of power system design, load analysis, and energy efficiency optimization

• Experience in renewable energy projects
