Senior Civil Engineer at Springpet Homes

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Senior Civil Engineer to join Springpet Homes. In this position, you will provide strategic and technical leadership across all civil and structural engineering functions, driving excellence in design integrity, construction execution, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance across building and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end development, review, validation, and approval of all civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
• Deliver structurally sound designs for foundations, reinforced concrete structures, steel frameworks, drainage systems, roads, pavements, retaining walls, and associated infrastructure works
• Conduct advanced structural analysis, load assessments, and stability checks to ensure safety, durability, and long-term performance of all structures
• Ensure all engineering outputs align with approved project briefs, specifications, Nigerian building codes, international standards, and best engineering practices
• Review, challenge, and approve contractors' shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and fabrication details to ensure design intent and constructability
• Drive value engineering initiatives to reduce lifecycle costs, improve constructability, and optimize project timelines without compromising quality or safety
• Coordinate and integrate civil and structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and project management disciplines to eliminate clashes and design gaps

Construction Supervision & Project Delivery

• Provide on-site and off-site oversight of all civil engineering works to ensure construction is executed strictly in line with approved designs, standards, and schedules
• Conduct routine and ad hoc site inspections covering excavation works, reinforcement placement, concrete pours, formwork, and soil conditions
