Senior Accountant at Sweet Nation Foods

Summary

We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to administer day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage systems for day-to-day finance and accounting operations
• Continuously develop and implement systems to improve and streamline finance and accounting operations
• Establish systems to ensure compliance with tax regulations and obligations
• Develop systems for reviewing and improving accounting processes for accuracy and efficiency
• Develop templates for monitoring accounts payable and receivable while ensuring proper cash flow management
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
• Educate staff on key accounting principles and operating procedures
• Create systems for proper revenue and expense recognition
• Ensure financial and accounting operations comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Requirements

• HND or BSc in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and accounting
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) with advanced-level proficiency in MS Excel required
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
• High level of integrity and ethics
