Role Overview

We are searching for a trustworthy and personable School Administrator to join our learning institution. The School Administrator will handle all allocated tasks, answer questions and queries, understand the school's policies, assist with the recruitment of new staff members, and communicate with parents, teachers, and students as required. You should be able to take charge of your department and provide the necessary supervision.

To be successful in this role, you should be detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. Outstanding candidates have the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities and remain composed under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand how the school and all its departments function
• Develop class schedules while taking into account each teacher's workload and extracurricular activities
• Conduct research on professional development and ongoing learning workshops, and share these opportunities with teachers and other staff
• Attend meetings and schedule appropriate staff team-building sessions
• Ensure fair allocation of budget and resources
• Track student successes and failures and prepare appropriate interventions
• Manage school security, caretakers, and other ground staff
• Assist with the hiring, recruitment, training, and onboarding of new teachers
• Establish and maintain good relationships with parents, students, and staff at other schools
• Prepare and submit drafts of proposals, financial reports, and other documents

Requirements

• First degree (HND, BA, BEd, BSc, BTech, or equivalent)
• Relevant license and certification (may be required)
• Extensive teaching or school administration experience (may be required)
• Knowledge of and practical experience in school administration
