As a Sales Executive (ATG) in an engineering context, you will function as a Sales Engineer, bridging the gap between complex technical products and services and customer needs by combining sales skills with engineering expertise. ATG refers to Advanced Technology Group, implying a focus on cutting-edge and specialized engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify opportunities by researching and prospecting new clients such as builders, contractors, and research institutions to generate qualified sales leads
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations tailored to clients' specific needs, showcasing how solutions address their challenges
- Conduct needs analysis by discussing equipment and system requirements with customers and internal engineers to understand their challenges and propose customized technical solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams as a liaison between clients and product/engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met and provide feedback for future product enhancements
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, negotiate contract terms, and close sales deals to meet and exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business and upgrades
- Provide or coordinate post-sales technical assistance and support, including troubleshooting and customer training, to ensure successful implementation and satisfaction
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments, and provide regular reports and forecasts to management using CRM systems
