Revenue Assurance Officer

About the Role

Genesis Group is seeking a Revenue Assurance Officer to join our team in Lagos. This position is critical to identifying, preventing, and resolving revenue discrepancies while ensuring the integrity of our billing and financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in revenue streams, including failed billings, missing data, and system inconsistencies
• Conduct audits of billing systems, rate plans, and data flows to ensure accuracy from sales to invoice
• Develop and implement internal controls and policies to strengthen revenue assurance and prevent future losses
• Reconcile retail store sales with cash and bank records, and conduct general ledger reconciliations
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on revenue performance, leakage, and trends for management review
• Validate the accuracy of product setups, pricing, commissions, and customer billing templates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Previous experience in finance, audit, or revenue assurance (experience in telecommunications, utilities, or banking industries is preferred)

Required Skills

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Technical knowledge of SQL queries, data warehousing, and financial systems
• Meticulous attention to detail to detect irregularities in complex datasets
• Ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify patterns
