Research & Development (R&D) Officer – Cosmetics

Role Overview

Develop, improve, and ensure quality of cosmetic products, transforming scientific research into market-ready, safe, and compliant formulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop skincare, haircare, makeup, and fragrance products
• Research new ingredients, technologies, and cosmetic trends
• Conduct lab tests for safety, stability, and effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory quality standards
• Optimize formulations for cost-effectiveness without compromising quality
• Collaborate with marketing, production, and QC teams
• Investigate and solve product issues

Requirements

• BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, or related field
• 1–2 years of R&D, cosmetic formulation, or lab experience
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation
• Problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
