Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Administer all nursing procedures in accordance with established protocols
• Implement hospital and nursing guidelines consistently across all patient interactions
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment conducive to quality patient care
• Coordinate patient care in liaison with other relevant departments
• Maintain safe custody of patient notes and important records/documentation; submit reports as required
• Ensure safety and proper, economical use of equipment, supplies, and premises space
• Ensure "last office" procedures are properly performed
• Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and relevant individuals
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals; teaching patients, families, and friends about conditions, diagnostic procedures, medications, and self-care skills
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals; making necessary adjustments as required
• Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
• Maintain continuity of nursing care through comprehensive documentation
