## Title: Professional Chef

Position Overview

The Hotel Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. This role is vital in creating a memorable dining experience and maintaining the hotel's culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare menus that meet the hotel's standards and guests' expectations
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and cleaners
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, following hygiene and health regulations
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen budget effectively
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portion, and presentation of dishes
  • Innovate new recipes and seasonal menus to enhance guest experience
  • Collaborate with management on special events, banquets, and catering services
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness at all times
  • Manage food costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient kitchen operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef in hotels, restaurants, or catering services
  • Formal culinary training or certification (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Creativity and ability to develop new dishes
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high-quality standards
  • Passion, discipline, and commitment to delivering excellent culinary experiences to guests

Compensation

N200,000 - N250,000 per month
