## Title: Procurement Officer

Position Summary

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Procurement Officer to manage sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of quality goods and services in line with organizational policies and budgets. This role ensures timely supply of materials, cost-effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and the maintenance of reliable supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement plans in line with company needs
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms
  • Prepare purchase orders and contracts, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations
  • Conduct regular market surveys to stay updated on price trends, suppliers, and new products
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, records, and documentation
  • Monitor deliveries, resolve supply issues, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to forecast procurement needs
  • Ensure adherence to ethical procurement standards and compliance with all statutory requirements
  • Track procurement expenditures and report on cost savings and supplier performance
  • Travel for supplier visits, meetings, or inspections as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NCE / ND in Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of procurement software is an advantage
  • Good understanding of procurement regulations, policies, and best practices
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
