Preschool Class Teacher at Glowfield International School

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced preschool teacher to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) education using the Montessori approach in a dynamic learning environment.

Location

Orchard Close, Alternative Route Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Teach all areas of the EYFS curriculum using the Montessori approach
• Plan, prepare, and present lessons that cater to the needs of learners across the full ability range
• Take responsibility for monitoring and supporting the progress of all learners
• Organize the classroom and learning resources, creating engaging displays that foster a positive learning environment
• Meet requirements for assessment and recording of learner development
• Coordinate activities and resources within specific curriculum areas and support colleagues in delivery
• Provide regular feedback to parents and carers on learner progress
• Maintain current knowledge of procedures and practices through continuing professional development

Required Qualifications and Experience

• PGDE or Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a preschool teacher in a reputable school
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and its application
• Demonstrated expertise in the Montessori learning approach
• Strong knowledge of Jolly Phonics methodology

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong writing ability
• Ability to effectively use online learning tools
• Digital literacy and proficiency with technology
