## Title: Physical Health Education & Sports Master

Position Summary

TAAS Group of Schools is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Physical & Health Education (PHE) Teacher with strong expertise in both indoor and outdoor sports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Physical & Health Education, coaching students in various sporting activities, and preparing them for competitions at school, inter-school, and external levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical & Health Education lessons that align with the school's curriculum
  • Train and coach students in a wide range of indoor and outdoor sports (e.g., athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton)
  • Organize school sports events, inter-house competitions, and represent the school in inter-school tournaments
  • Develop students' physical fitness, teamwork, leadership, and discipline through structured sporting activities
  • Provide guidance on health education, personal fitness, and general well-being
  • Maintain discipline and safety standards during all sporting and physical activities
  • Monitor, assess, and report on students' progress in both theory and practical aspects of Physical & Health Education
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school management to promote a culture of sportsmanship and excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical & Health Education, Human Kinetics, or related discipline (Master's degree is an added advantage)
  • 5–10 years of proven experience as a Physical & Health Education teacher or sports coach
  • Demonstrated expertise in both indoor and outdoor games with evidence of past coaching achievements
  • Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with students of different age groups and skill levels
  • Must reside in Lagos, preferably close to the Apata region for easy accessibility to the school
