Payable Officer at Brands Optimal Limited

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payable Officer to join our Finance team at Brands Optimal Limited in Lagos. You will manage and validate all outgoing payments and financial obligations of the company.

Responsibilities

• Verify and confirm the accuracy, authenticity and completeness of all documentation before payment processing
• Ensure that all supporting documents (invoices, memos, approvals, vendor details, etc.) are correct and properly filed
• Process vendor payments, staff claims, reimbursements and other payables promptly
• Maintain up-to-date records of all payables and ensure timely settlement
• Liaise with vendors, internal departments, and relevant stakeholders for confirmation of transactions
• Reconcile payment records with bank statements and internal financial reports
• Flag discrepancies, errors or questionable transactions for further review
• Support the Finance Department in audits, reporting, and administrative tasks

Requirements and Qualifications

• HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance or a related field with a minimum qualification of Upper Credit or Second Class Upper Division
• 2 - 4 years of experience as a Payable Officer
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role is an added advantage
