Nutritionist Assistant at The Milk Booster

About the Role

Are you passionate about maternal and infant nutrition? Do you want to make a real impact on the health of mothers and babies across Nigeria? We are seeking a Nutritionist Assistant to play a crucial role in the daily operations of our milk bank, including milk pasteurization, quality control, and other support processes, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily lab operations, including milk thawing, pooling, pasteurization, labeling, and storage documentation
• Support the nutritionist in reviewing donor test results and maintaining accurate records
• Participate in donor recruitment, education, and follow-up activities (phone and in-person)
• Support the nutritionist for hospital visits, outreach programs, and awareness campaigns
• Provide basic nutrition and breastfeeding information to mothers under supervision
• Work closely with the lab assistant to ensure smooth workflow and product quality
• Ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained in the lab

Requirements

• Minimum of an OND/HND/BSc in Nutrition, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related field
• Experience in food handling or laboratory processes (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Passion for maternal and infant nutrition
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
