About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Network & Security Engineer to maintain and enhance the company's security infrastructure. In this role, you will implement and test new security features, plan system upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and respond to security incidents. You will enforce security policies and ensure that networking systems can withstand potential security threats and natural disasters.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy robust security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
• Configure and optimize firewalls, routers, and other network infrastructure for maximum security
• Conduct security assessments and audits to identify network vulnerabilities and propose solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams to align security policies with organizational goals and industry standards
• Lead incident response efforts to address cyberattacks, malware, or data breaches effectively
• Regularly update and patch operating systems, firewalls, and security applications against evolving threats
• Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect suspicious behavior and prevent unauthorized access
• Perform penetration testing to simulate cyberattacks and evaluate network resilience
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies to ensure consistent security practices across the organization

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred for advanced roles)
• 2-5 years of experience in network security, information security, or a related discipline
• Proficiency in configuring firewalls, routers, and security protocols
