Network Engineer at Phase3 Telecom

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team at Phase3 Telecom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our core network infrastructure and client solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our network services, which directly support our business and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design & Implementation: Deploy, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• MPLS Management: Design, provision, and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 MPLS VPN services on Cisco, Huawei, and Mikrotik platforms.
• Security Management: Configure and manage firewall rules, VPNs (SSL/IPsec), and security policies on Fortigate and Sophos firewalls to protect the network perimeter and internal assets.
• Wireless & LAN Deployment: Plan and implement enterprise-grade Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wireless solutions using Cisco WLAN Controllers and Mikrotik CAPsMAN, and UniFi Controller for Wireless Access Points.
• Internet Access Services: Manage and optimize Direct Internet Access (DIA) solutions for reliability and performance.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor network performance, diagnose and resolve complex network issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Microsoft 365 Support: Provide foundational support to staff on the use of M365 applications like Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical network infrastructure.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
