About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this position. You will assist mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate work load and establish completion dates
• Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery (engines, instruments, controls, robots, etc.)
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Actively participate in the use of on-the-job safety tools
• Review job packs and identify any safety issues, ensuring removal or mitigation prior to work commencement
• Execute work as planned
• Record technical history as required by the workgroup (Global Reliability Tool, data sheets, etc.)
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time
• Monitor the availability of parts and replenish supplies
• Optimize mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
• Train co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment
• Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to industry regulations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of OND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Trade Test Certificate in the same area
• Physical fitness and good health

• Effective implementation of planned maintenance
• Excellent EHS rating and zero lost-time accidents

Working Environment

External: Adherence to legal requirements such as the Factories Act and BAT EHS Policy.

Internal: Support manufacturing operations by providing material handling services according to set standards and at optimal cost.

• The role may require additional hours to complete tasks
