## Title: Medical/General Transcriptionist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Medical/General Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording and converting medical audios into clear, well-formatted written documents. This role requires someone with excellent listening skills, strong grammar proficiency, and a high level of integrity while contributing to healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings into written documents, ensuring correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Review and edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software for accuracy and clarity
  • Research and verify terminology, especially medical terms, to ensure accuracy
  • Meet daily or weekly transcription targets and turnaround times
  • Communicate with team members or clients to clarify unclear audio or terminology

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Medical/General Transcriptionist
  • Experience in medical transcription and familiarity with medical terminology
  • Familiarity with medical transcription software and electronic health records (EHR)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Laptop, internet router, and backup power supply
