Medical Doctor at First Cardiology Consultants

Position Overview

An established healthcare organization is recruiting a Medical Officer to provide comprehensive medical care with strong clinical knowledge and excellent patient counseling skills. The position involves diagnosing and treating patients while maintaining collaborative relationships with specialists and consultants for complex cases requiring further investigation or specialized treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to patients' medical concerns by reviewing their medical history
• Conduct patient interviews, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations
• Analyze findings, formulate diagnoses, and explain medical conditions to patients during consultations
• Interpret clinical results under supervision of the Medical Director, with appropriate referrals when necessary
• Formulate and develop treatment plans in consultation with supervising doctors as appropriate
• Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services as delegated and agreed upon by the supervising Medical Director
• Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Explain procedures and prescribed treatments clearly to patients
• Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality in all patient interactions
• Liaise and collaborate with other medical professionals within the healthcare facility
• Provide clinical instruction and guidance to nursing staff and other clinical team members as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine from an accredited university
• MBBS qualification
• 1–3 years of medical practice experience
• Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
• Current registration and valid license to practice medicine from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
• Knowledge of general medicine
