About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated medical professional to join Deborah Multi-specialist Hospital & Diagnostics in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patients' medical problems by reviewing their history, conducting diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and referral when necessary
• Order laboratory tests and interpret test results
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
• Collect, record, and maintain sensitive patient information including examination results, medical history, and reports
• Perform minor surgeries
• Explain procedures and prescribed treatments to patients
• Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals
• Promote health education in conjunction with other health professionals
• Meet government-set targets for specified treatments, such as child immunization programs
• Discuss and evaluate new pharmaceutical products with pharmaceutical representatives
• Stay current with medical developments, treatment options, and medications
• Teach at hospitals and medical schools, and observe and assess the work of trainee doctors and medical students

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• At least 2-3 years of residency training
• Current state medical license
• Completed Medical Licensing Examination
• 3 years of experience practicing as a primary care doctor
