Mechanical Engineer - Maintenance at Apple and Pears Limited

Position Overview

An established company in the FMCG and manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to maintain mechanical systems and equipment, ensure smooth factory operations, and support inventory management in collaboration with store and procurement teams.

Compensation

₦200,000 – ₦250,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical parts, including gearboxes and conveying systems
• Collaborate with store managers and procurement department to track and manage spare parts inventory
• Fabricate and maintain local parts where necessary to minimize downtime
• Read, interpret, and produce 2D engineering drawings
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and procedures
• Support production teams in minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing efficiency

Required Qualifications

• B.Eng or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in 2D drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD)
• Hands-on experience with gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and rotating equipment
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Location and Availability

• Must reside in or be willing to relocate close to Sagamu for proximity to the factory
• Must be available to resume within 2 weeks' notice
