Job Summary

An established company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide in-house mechanical design and oversee general site supervision of building projects, ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) using AutoCAD and relevant software
• Oversee general site activities across disciplines to ensure smooth project execution
• Supervise and verify the proper installation of mechanical systems
• Track site progress, identify risks or deviations, and recommend corrective measures
• Collaborate with other engineers and project staff to integrate mechanical systems effectively
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations
• Provide detailed daily and weekly site reports covering progress of works, risks, and compliance status
• Contribute to project cost and timeline control by ensuring adherence to plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university
• COREN registration (mandatory)
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in building design and general site supervision
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools (e.g., Revit MEP, HAP, SolidWorks)
• Sound knowledge of construction standards, safety codes, and compliance practices
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and analytical skills

Compensation

N500,000 – N600,000 monthly
