Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components in line with operational requirements
• Diagnose faults, perform engine overhauls, and carry out daily and periodic maintenance on all material handling equipment to minimize downtime
• Conduct maintenance on production equipment such as forklifts, tractors, furnaces, and trucks
• Perform risk assessments and implement effective safety and compliance measures
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in mechanical engineering
• Test and evaluate mechanical systems for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical components with other systems
• Provide technical support during production processes to ensure seamless operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles
• Proven experience working within manufacturing or metal recycling industries
• Solid understanding of forklift trucks, furnaces, manufacturing processes, and material handling systems
