Role Overview

An established company is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and mechanical drawings, primarily for plumbing and piping works. This is a time-sensitive position where success is measured by the ability to deliver outputs within a 48-hour turnaround time. The role requires a technically sound engineer who can interpret drawings independently and engage in site discussions with clients when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and mechanical drawings
• Review plumbing and piping layouts for accuracy and constructability
• Analyze BOQs, drawings, and specifications to extract material quantities
• Support project discussions through site visits and client meetings
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
• Maintain high responsiveness, meeting a 48-hour SLA on assigned take-offs
• Participate in site meetings and technical discussions

Required Qualifications & Experience

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related degree (mandatory)
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and piping systems
• Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings independently
• Experience producing quantity take-offs from construction drawings
• Familiarity with construction materials, fittings, and piping systems
