About The Role
G&M Manufacturing Company is aggressively expanding and seeking a high-performing, target-driven Marketing Officer to drive sales growth for Defebi Bread and Defebi Sachet Water across Ogun State and Lagos State. This field-focused position is designed for sales-driven marketers who can open new markets, build distributor networks, increase product volume, and outperform competition.
Note: This role requires significant fieldwork and direct sales responsibility. Candidates uncomfortable with field-based marketing should not apply.
Location
Sango Ota, Ogun State / Lagos State (Candidate must reside in or around Sango Ota, Ogun State, or in close proximity to the area)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales growth for Defebi Bread and Defebi Sachet Water
- Open new markets and onboard new distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
- Ensure strong product availability and visibility across open markets, supermarkets, schools, offices, and event vendors
- Execute aggressive promotions, product sampling, and market activations
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies
- Maintain optimal product presence on shelves and at all points of sale
- Leverage WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook to support sales efforts and process bulk orders
- Collaborate closely with sales and production teams to achieve volume targets
- Submit regular field reports and sales performance updates
Required Qualifications
- HND or B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 2–5 years of proven FMCG field marketing or sales experience (bakery, beverages, or food products preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Ogun and Lagos State sales routes and market dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with distributors and retailers
- Familiarity with Sango Ota, Ikeja, and Oshodi market areas
Required Competencies
- Highly energetic, persuasive, and target-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Willingness to conduct extensive fieldwork
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Compensation
₦150,000 – ₦200,000 monthly (based on experience)
