Maintenance Planner / Scheduler I at ABNL Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team. You will be responsible for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities while ensuring safety, efficiency, and optimal resource utilization across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the top priority in all planning and scheduling activities
• Participate in planning with core and work teams
• Plan and schedule routine maintenance work as required
• Develop schedules, cost estimates, and equipment planning for routine work during turnaround windows in collaboration with planners
• Plan complex jobs and develop comprehensive resource plans with scheduler, execution lead, and operations across all disciplines
• Identify and monitor critical and sub-critical paths for major events
• Apply advanced functions of planning and estimating tools as applicable to the position
• Educate field execution personnel on look-ahead schedules and ensure timely work progression
• Provide input to maintenance work contracting and procurement strategy
• Resolve scheduling issues including negative float, out-of-sequence updates, resource overloads, scope changes, and progress validation
• Develop complete job plans with materials, resources, and timelines
• Provide input into material selection and management for construction
• Plan, estimate, and track maintenance activities

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Good understanding of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements
• Knowledge of work selection criteria and work planning
• Understanding of norms, estimating, and procurement practices
• Knowledge of business practices and controls
• Contractor interface awareness
• Experience in developing job packs
• Skilled in scheduling work tasks to ensure efficient resource utilization
• Excellent coordination abilities between operations, material availability, construction equipment support, and labor crew composition
