Maintenance Officer at The Foodhub by CWC

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Maintenance Officer. You will be responsible for ensuring all facilities, equipment, and infrastructure operate efficiently and meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical repairs and ensure mechanical equipment is in working order
• Complete overall building cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Perform basic repairs on company machinery, equipment, and appliances
• Detect and report the need for major maintenance and repairs
• Manage budgets for repair and maintenance activities while ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Ensure facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, and safety standards
• Plan and coordinate installations (telecommunications, heating, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance routines on equipment
• Inspect building structures to determine repair or renovation needs
• Review utilities consumption and implement cost-minimization strategies
• Source vendors as required
• Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, janitors) and external vendors/contractors
• Control activities including parking space allocation, waste disposal, and building security
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repairs carried out
• Draft and maintain maintenance schedules for all appliances and equipment
• Draft and maintain maintenance checklists for the restaurant, production centre, and staff quarters
• Repair doors, ceilings, baseboards, handrails, and other structural elements as needed
• Present reports on facility maintenance and projects
• Perform other duties as assigned by your manager
