Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Lubricant Sales Manager to develop visitation and activity schedules to facilitate realization of sales targets
• Develop sales plans based on approved sales strategy in conjunction with the Lubricant Sales Manager
• Conduct regular customer visitations and manage customer relationships effectively
• Proactively identify and report on potential revenue streams
• Process customer orders and follow up with distribution personnel to ensure prompt product delivery in line with organizational policies
• Provide technical services to current and prospective customers to drive product sales and increase customer satisfaction
• Log and address customer complaints; escalate appropriate issues and follow up with relevant personnel to ensure proper resolution
• Proactively gather and regularly update customer data and database information to ensure reliability and accuracy
• Monitor relevant developments in customer operations (such as procurement of new technology) and communicate appropriately to the Lubricant Sales Manager for immediate attention
• Collate and analyse sales data and generate periodic sales reports for the Lubricant Sales Manager; monitor and report on competitor activities
• Prepare agreed activity and performance reports on a timely basis for the Lubricant Sales Manager and other relevant parties
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lubricant Sales Manager

Required Qualifications

• Second class degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant degree in Physical Sciences and Engineering
• 7–9 years of relevant experience

Required Competencies

• Good knowledge of products and services, specifically lubricants
• Good understanding of customer operations and industry dynamics
