Role Overview

We are seeking a Loan Officer to join our dynamic team at Spectrum Microfinance Bank in Lagos, Nigeria. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a crucial role in evaluating loan applications and supporting our clients through their borrowing journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan applications and conduct comprehensive financial analyses
• Assess applicant creditworthiness and determine loan eligibility
• Process loan applications in accordance with company procedures
• Guide clients through the complete loan process and answer their questions
• Provide financial advice and recommendations to clients
• Maintain strong relationships with customers to support retention and growth
• Monitor loan portfolios and contribute to effective loan recovery
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and banking standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong skills in financial analysis, loan processing, and credit assessment
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Demonstrated relationship management experience
• Proficiency with financial data entry, reporting, and loan management systems
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the banking industry
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Problem-solving abilities and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Prior experience in microfinancing or the banking/financial sector is preferred
