About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking talented professionals to join as Loan Collectors. This role focuses on managing assigned accounts, identifying outstanding debts, and implementing effective debt recovery strategies while maintaining professional client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts and overdue receivables
• Conduct daily monitoring of accounts and outstanding receivables
• Discuss overdue payments with clients and make follow-up calls
• Create and negotiate repayment plans with clients
• Set up updated payment options and alternatives
• Maintain detailed records of all communications, repayments, discrepancies, and customer complaints
• Develop and implement debt collection strategies and plans
• Resolve billing and customer credit issues
• Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress
• Update account status and database regularly
• Perform administrative duties to ensure office efficiency
• Collaborate with Accounts, Sales, and Legal Department on debt collection efforts
• Build trust relationships with customers when possible to prevent future issues
• Alert superiors when debtors are unwilling or unable to pay

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a debt collector
• Experience working with targets and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements in debt collection
• Working knowledge of MS Office and database systems
• OND, HND, or B.Sc qualification (preferred)

Compensation

Salary: ₦130,000 - ₦160,000
