Job Summary
We are seeking a Library Assistant to support the effective management of the College library. The successful candidate will assist in cataloguing, circulation, and maintenance of library resources, while also helping students and staff access information for academic and personal growth. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cataloguing, organizing, and maintaining library materials (books, journals, digital resources)
- Support students and staff in locating and using library resources
- Manage circulation services, including lending and returns
- Help maintain a quiet, conducive environment for study and research
- Assist in promoting reading culture and library programs within the College
- Collaborate with the Librarian and other staff to improve library services
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Library Science, Information Science, or related field
- Prior experience working in a school or academic library (advantageous)
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Basic ICT skills for managing digital resources and library systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
