Legal Officer at Intersect Consortium

About the Role

Intersect Consortium is seeking a qualified Legal Officer to provide expert legal assistance, oversee legal aspects of our diverse industries, and manage the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various MOUs, contracts, non-disclosures, and tender documents
• Handle statutory filings and regulatory submissions; liaise with the Accounts department on tax compliance requirements
• Ensure activities and transactions of organizations in the Consortium comply with corporate laws and regulations
• Provide accurate, timely, and high-quality legal advice to Management on a full range of legal and operational issues
• Review all contracts and documentation to assess legal implications and report findings to senior management
• Instill and foster a culture of legal compliance and risk management best practices across the consortium
• Advocate for ethics and compliance across all levels and build relationships with external legal advisors and counsels
• Identify, manage, and mitigate legal risks by presenting clear recommendations and developing company policies and procedures
• Ensure organizations in the group are fully compliant with the Nigeria National Mental Health Act and all applicable provisions
• Monitor changes to legislation and regulations affecting our businesses; interpret their impact and develop organizational positions
• Provide legal advice and guidance on privacy, medical staff issues, HIPAA, Data Protection, claims and litigation management, informed consent, and corporate governance
