About the Role
Efficacy Construction Company is seeking a qualified Legal Officer to provide comprehensive legal support across all company operations. This position encompasses court representation, contract management, compliance oversight, and legal advisory services for the organization and its subsidiaries within the Efficacy Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to court matters and liaise with law enforcement agencies
- Draft and review legal documents including letters, contracts, agreements, briefs, notices, circulars, correspondence, orders, and reports for individuals, companies, government entities, and third parties across all company sites
- Review documents and papers for compliance and accuracy
- Research and prepare legal opinions on civil matters, including claims for compensation
- Apply risk management techniques and provide proactive legal advice on potential issues
- Ensure company compliance with the Labour Act across the Efficacy Group
- Prepare, file, and plead cases in Commercial Court to recover amounts owed to the Company
- Review and proofread content prepared by the Customer Service Officer for social media posting as requested
- Liaise with and support external counsel in fulfilling their obligations
- File oppositions in property and title matters where arrears are due to the Company
- Maintain a database tracking the status of all court matters involving the Company
- Attend legal and corporate meetings with clients, vendors, and customers
- Collaborate with the Accounts department on statutory documentation
- Work with Land Assist on client management, documentation, and contract agreement drafting for all Peak sites and other designated sites
- Monitor company WhatsApp groups and ensure platform compliance
- Participate in company event planning and attendance as required
