## Title: Legal Human Resources Officer

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join us as a Legal Human Resources Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, vet, and review contracts and provide legal advice accordingly
  • Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
  • Offer legal advice and support on issues that may affect the company
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary statutory obligations
  • Supervise and manage employee issues with the company
  • Draft official letters with proficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain proper file documentation and manage company secretarial issues
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with applicable laws
  • Study legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources and legal compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Thoroughness in legal document review and compliance matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Law or related field
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent)
