About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Legal Executive Officer.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Barrister-at-Law (B.L) from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 3 years post-call experience
• At least 2 years of experience in the financial services sector (preferred)
• Membership of professional associations such as the Nigerian Bar Association, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, or Compliance Institute of Nigeria (advantageous)

Required Knowledge and Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial laws and regulations, including those from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
• Experience with corporate governance, anti-money laundering (AML), and data protection laws
• Knowledge of the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)
• Knowledge of GDPR (advantageous)
