About the Role

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating clauses to protect the company's interests. You will oversee corporate agreements, confidently manage contracts, and negotiate strong terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare commercial contracts in line with industry best practices
• Negotiate contract clauses to secure the company's legal and commercial advantage
• Provide expert legal guidance on regulatory, compliance, and operational matters related to the oil & gas sector
• Manage legal risks and advise management on potential exposures
• Ensure all company activities comply with applicable laws and contractual obligations
• Lead negotiations to secure favourable terms with external partners
• Handle litigation strategy and liaise with external counsel
• Support strategic decision-making through sound legal judgment
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and partners as required

Requirements

• 7–10 years post-call experience with a strong background in the oil & gas industry
• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and risk management
• Excellent understanding of oil & gas regulatory frameworks
• Proven litigation experience and dispute resolution capability
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound legal judgments
