Kitchen Assistant (The signature Lounge by Edeka) Dutse Abuja at Venmac Resources Limited

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Main function:         The steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in  the dining area, ensuring that tables are set and cleared in a timely manner, and attending to the needs of customers. Reports Directly to: Head Chef  SPECIFIC DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES

• Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.

• Follow recipes and instructions provided by the chefs.

• Ensure all ingredients and equipment are ready and available for the chefs.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and utensils.

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.

• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces regularly.

• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing food and supplies deliveries.

• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, informing the supervisor when restocking is required.

• Rotate and label food items according to storage guidelines.

• Assist chefs and cooks during food preparation and service.

• Help with plating and garnishing dishes.

• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.

• Properly dispose of food waste and recyclable materials.

• Comply with waste management regulations and guidelines.

• Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward staff and customers at all times.

• Carrying out all other tasks in the ordinary course of business which the management reasonably consider necessary or proper in the interest of the Company in your capacity as a Kitchen Assistant.

• Any other assigned task by the management.
