About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as a Kitchen Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing kitchen finances, inventory, and cost control to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and record all food transfers from the central kitchen to outlets and canteens, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation
- Implement cost-control strategies and identify areas of wastage or overuse
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly kitchen financial reports including cost of production, stock movement, and kitchen expenses
- Track food costs and ensure alignment with standard recipe costings
- Conduct regular stock counts with the inventory officer and reconcile physical stock with records
- Verify the accuracy of kitchen stock-in and stock-out transactions
- Monitor kitchen inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper documentation and tracking of purchases
- Liaise with outlet and canteen supervisors to confirm receipt of dispatched items and resolve discrepancies
- Work with the kitchen team to maintain standard portion control and ensure compliance with recipe cards
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures related to kitchen finance and inventory
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits as required
- Ensure adherence to company policies in all kitchen financial transactions
