Junior Gas Operator at Willers Solutions

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Junior Gas Operator to assist in operating, monitoring, and maintaining gas generator sets (gensets) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power generation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gas gensets and a strong focus on safety, compliance, and plant operations. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor gas gensets in line with SOPs and load requirements
• Record and track key operating parameters such as voltage, load, frequency, and pressure
• Conduct daily checks on oil, coolant, filters, and gas pressure
• Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
• Identify and report alarms, abnormal conditions, or trips promptly
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including PPE usage and LOTO procedures
• Maintain housekeeping around the genset and plant area
• Assist in maintaining daily logs, breakdown reports, and maintenance records
• Coordinate with supervisors on any operational or technical issues

Required Qualifications

• ND / HND / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in gas genset operations (e.g., Jenbacher, MWM, Caterpillar)
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Safety-conscious mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work shifts and follow plant safety rules

Compensation

N150,000 – N170,000 monthly
