Junior Chef at Eric Kayser

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, hardworking, and creative Junior Chef to join our kitchen team at Eric Kayser in Lagos. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, support senior chefs, and help maintain high culinary and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking menu items according to restaurant standards
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices
• Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
• Help with ingredient preparation including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines
• Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies

Requirements

• Qualification: NCE/OND
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
• Previous kitchen or culinary experience is an added advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
• Must be disciplined, neat, and eager to learn

Work Schedule

• Full-time, shift-based position
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays required
