## Title: IT Support Systems Engineer
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as an IT Support Systems Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Provide technical support across the company (in person or over the phone)
- Maintain records of software licenses and manage stocks of equipment, consumables, and other supplies
- Deploy and manage Microsoft Office 365 and other applications (e.g., Odoo ERP, NMS) across the organization
- Install and manage system security and endpoint security solutions (e.g., Sophos, intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery across the entire organization
- Implement and manage virtual and private cloud platforms (VMware, OpenStack, Proxmox, server virtualization, storage)
- Perform performance and capacity planning of high-end enterprise and midrange storage arrays with network connectivity expertise
- Train users on new systems, software, and hardware to ensure employees use technology appropriately and efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an IT Systems Support Engineer or in a related role
- Strong problem-solving abilities to quickly identify, analyze, and effectively solve complex technical problems
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, understandable manner to non-technical users
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and service level agreements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in database architecture, business intelligence, big data, QuickBooks, or advanced analytics
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, VMware, CompTIA, MSCDBA)
