IT Support Officer at Elalan Construction

About the Role

Elalan Construction is recruiting an IT Support Officer to provide comprehensive technical support for all IT infrastructure, hardware, and applications across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for all IT infrastructure hardware and applications, including configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
• Test and implement software patches for all applications, including third-party applications
• Maintain comprehensive and updated documentation of all ICT systems and assets infrastructure in use by the Group
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues encountered by users
• Respond to and resolve help desk routine tickets

Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND in Computer Science or Engineering
• Certification in Microsoft, Networking, Cloud Computing, or Security Systems (advantageous)

Experience Required

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification experience
• Experience with complex databases

Technical Competencies

• Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, Internet connections, and peripheral equipment
• Ability to evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software, and software applications
• Equipment repair and parts replacement, with knowledge of electrical safety standards
• Identify ways to improve operational efficiency
• Ability to learn new skills quickly
• Stay up to date with recent trends in the IT profession

Required Technical Skills

• Windows operating systems (2003 to latest version)
• Vista Networks
• Active Directories
• TCP/IP and Linux servers
• Microsoft operating systems and software
• HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript
• In-depth technical knowledge of PC hardware
