IT Support Officer at Alert Microfinance Bank

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic IT Support Officer to join our team at a Nigeria-based microfinance bank. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to the bank's information technology systems and infrastructure. You will assist bank staff with IT-related issues, maintain hardware and software, and ensure the smooth operation of the bank's IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

User Support

• Provide technical support and assistance to bank staff with IT-related inquiries, issues, and incidents
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for end-users

IT Helpdesk Management

• Monitor and respond to IT support tickets and requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a helpdesk system to track and manage user issues and resolutions

Hardware and Software Maintenance

• Perform regular maintenance and updates on computer hardware, software, and peripherals
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely repairs and replacement of faulty hardware and software

Network Support

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in resolving network-related problems
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network infrastructure and data transmission

Data Backup and Recovery

• Implement and monitor regular data backup procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness
• Test data recovery processes to ensure they are effective and reliable in case of data loss

IT Security and Compliance

• Monitor and report on security incidents and potential vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with the IT team to address compliance requirements related to IT systems
• Manage cloud infrastructure and application deployment

Documentation and Training

• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems and configurations

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with BANKONE CBA
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• Experience with CI/CD deployment using GitHub Actions
