IT Support Officer at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Officer to provide technical assistance, system maintenance, and user support across hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in IT infrastructure, problem-solving abilities, and strong customer service skills to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and related IT equipment
• Ensure data security through regular backups, antivirus updates, and access control management
• Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), internet connectivity, and system performance
• Support system upgrades, software installations, and configuration of new devices
• Troubleshoot email, connectivity, and application issues promptly to reduce operational disruptions
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation of support activities
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for repairs, replacements, and system improvements
• Provide user training and support to enhance digital literacy within the organization

Requirements

• OND / HND / BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in IT support or technical assistance
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking (LAN/Wi-Fi, routers, switches)

Salary

N200,000 - N250,000 per month
