IT Expert (Software Development & Systems Support)

About the Role

Redeemers Health Village Hospital is seeking a highly skilled IT Expert with strong coding experience to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis in Lagos, Nigeria.

This role is critical to supporting, developing, and maintaining our digital health systems, ensuring efficient, secure, and reliable technology operations across all hospital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and internal systems
• Manage and support hospital IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases
• Support, customize, and optimize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other health information systems
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
• Implement data security measures, system backups, and ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to improve digital workflows
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and technical procedures

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Demonstrable coding experience (e.g., Python, Java, PHP, C#, JavaScript, or similar)
• Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
• Solid understanding of system administration, networking, and cybersecurity
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare setting

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
